On September 12, 2019, the U.S. Embassy U.S. Commercial Service worked with the newly opened branch of WeWork to launch a seminar on doing business in the United States for potential Czech investors. Ford Graham, an experienced investment lawyer with the American law firm K&L Gates, spoke on working with economic development organizations (EDOs) in different states, federal support through the SelectUSA program, challenges and opportunities of setting up a legal entity, financing and corporate banking, and immigration questions. „The smartest thing you can ever do is to invest in the United States,“ commented Ambassador King.

U.S. Department of Commerce organizes the SelectUSA Summit for foreign investors every year. The 2020 Summit will take place in Washington on June 1 – 3. Feel free to contact U.S. Commercial Service Prague for more information. (Veronika.Novakova@trade.gov)
