Ambassador King attended a ceremony, during which UPS officially broke ground for its new Prague package sorting and delivery center in Tuchoměřice.
The facility, near Vaclav Havel Airport, will be located in a key economic region of the Czech Republic, where small and large companies are turning to exports to grow their businesses. The Prague center will have an operating area of nearly 9,000 square meters and a sorting capacity of 5,000 packages per hour.
The new facility is part of the company’s multi-year, $2 billion European investment plan, which aims to modernize and expand the UPS network across the continent.
