Ali Al Sudani speaks to Czech media about best practices in refugee resettlement and integration in the United States, American Center, May 27th, 2016.

Ali Al Sudani, Director of Refugee Services in Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, visited the Czech Republic from May 16-27. Mr. Al Sudani spoke to Czech NGOs, government officials, university students, and the Czech media about best practices in refugee resettlement and integration in the United States, and in Texas in particular.

“… In the U.S., we do our best to make sure that immigrants don’t create isolated and closed communities. … For example, a refugee in a foreign country needs to quickly find a job to be able to take care of himself,” said Al Sudani, himself a former Iraqi refugee who resettled in the U.S. in 2009
