U.S.-Czech Business Forum – POSTPONED

U.S.-Czech Business Forum Postponed
Prague, March 9 — In consultation with Czech Government authorities, including the Castle, the U.S. Embassy has regrettably agreed to postpone the U.S.-Czech Business Forum that was planned for this Thursday, March 12.  We have not yet identified a new date, but will work closely with our Czech and American partners to find a new time.

The U.S. Embassy in the Czech Republic is hosting the first ever U.S.-Czech Business Forum at Prague Castle on March 12 in cooperation with the Czech Chamber of Commerce, the Offices of the Czech President and Government, and others.  The Forum will bring together prominent U.S. and Czech business leaders to forge connections and pursue new business opportunities.

“The Business Forum is a high-profile opportunity to celebrate the U.S.-Czech commercial and economic partnership.  We will present a full day of Czech and American speakers and panels that will highlight our bilateral commercial ties and the benefits of investing in each other’s country.  The event will also give both Czech and U.S. businesses the chance to expand those ties,” said U.S. Ambassador Stephen King.

Besides the U.S. Ambassador, speakers will include President Milos Zeman, Prime Minister Andrej Babis, Czech Chamber of Commerce President Vladimir Dlouhy, and prominent entrepreneurs and CEOs.  These include, among other participants, Avast CEO Ondrej Vlcek, and Infiberry CEO Hana Fortova.  The Forum will feature an audience of U.S. and Czech business executives and entrepreneurs, government officials, U.S. state regional development offices, investment promotion agencies, business organization representatives, and media.

This day-long event will be the highlight of U.S.-Czech Business Week.  Multiple business events over the course of the week will contribute to strengthening bilateral business and trade.  Events, for example, include a Seminar on Investing in the United States with SelectUSA and a panel discussion with venture capital specialists from Dentons and successful investors and entrepreneurs.

More information is available on the official website https://www.usczbusinessforum.com/.
