U.S. Ambassador and his Dutch Counterpart to Deliver Remarks at Opening of Innovation Week

U.S. Ambassador Stephen King and his Dutch counterpart Kees Klompenhouwer will address the opening session of Innovation Week, the largest event in the Czech Republic focused on innovation. The event will take place at Prague’s Forum Karlin on May 20 at 9:30 a.m.  Advancing U.S-Czech economic ties, including through innovation and new technologies, is a top U.S. priority in the Czech Republic. The Netherlands has similar priorities in the Czech Republic and is looking forward to new opportunities this event will bring.

Innovation Week is organized annually by the European Leadership and Academic Institute (ELAI), which received a U.S. Embassy grant for the project.  Innovation Week has been selected as an official “Road to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES)” event in Central Europe.  The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is the preeminent annual gathering that convenes entrepreneurs, investors, and their supporters globally.  On November 15, 2018, the U.S. and the Netherlands officially launched the upcoming 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit, which is scheduled to be held in The Hague, Netherlands on June 4-5, 2019.
