The U.S. and the Czech Republic Cooperate in Nanotechnologies

On September 2nd, Deputy Chief of Mission Steve Kashkett hosted a special ceremony in Prague for the signing of a collaborative agreement between The Nonwovens Institute, North Carolina State University, and the Institute for Nanomaterials, Technical University of Liberec.

The agreement provides for a formal cooperative relationship between the two institutions in the areas of scientific, technology and business in nanotechnologies. Annual conferences will be hosted by The Nonwovens Institute and the Technical University of Liberec in alternative years in the U.S. and the Czech Republic respectively.

From August 31 to September 2, The Nonwovens Institute and the Technical University of Liberec co-hosted an international conference titled “NART 2015 – Nanofibers, their Applications and Related Technologies” in Liberec. “NART 2016” will be held in North Carolina.
