The Future of Cybersecurity Seminar

Cyber threats are evolving every day and protection against them is becoming more complex. October is recognized as a Cybersecurity Awareness Month, helping individuals protect themselves online as threats to technology and confidential data become more commonplace.

On October 18, 2022, the U.S. Embassy hosted a seminar and discussion on the future of cybersecurity. The U.S. Embassy’s Cyber Attaché Paul Vitchock presented on global security challenges and trends. Damian Hoffman, Consulting Sales Engineer, Mandiant then introduced recent examples of cybersecurity attacks and potential responses as a part of his presentation, titled “Security Intelligence – How to be better prepared”.  Lee Rossey, CTO & Cofounder SIMSPACE also discussed the opportunities for cyber threat trainings for governments as well as corporations. Lucian Barnea, Regional Manager for Eastern Europe, Mandiant, closed the event by highlighting the company’s expertise gained in threat intelligence on the frontlines of cybersecurity.
