On August 23, 2018, Commercial Counselor Christina Sharkey took part in the “Territorial Workshop USA” seminar organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the Czech Republic for Czech companies interested in the U.S. market.
Sharkey presented on American-Czech Bilateral relations, particularly trade issues and opportunities, and highlighted the United States as a top destination for potential foreign investors. “The United States offers the largest consumer market on earth with a GDP of $20 trillion and 325 million people. Free trade agreements with 20 other countries provide enhanced access to hundreds of millions of additional consumers.” Christina Sharkey stated.
Other speakers included Hynek Kmonicek, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the USA; Vladimir Dlouhy, Chairman of ICC Czech Republic; Kamil Blazek, Partner at Kinstellar; Zuzana Sejtkova, Head of Export Finance Department at Czech export bank; Lenka Fortova, Specialist at Americas Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and Petr Rozek, Logistic consultant, advisor and lecturer of ICC CR.
