Taj Johnson, the U.S. Embassy Human Rights Officer, congratulated children (as well as their teachers) who succeeded in the Romano Suno (Romani Dream) literary and art contest. The award ceremony took place at the American Center on the Human Rights Day, December 10th.
Romano Suno has been coordinated annually for more than 20 years by the organization Nová škola (New School), it encourages Roma children in the use and practice of their native tongue as well as Romani customs. This contributes to maintaining the unique cultural heritage of the Roma community in the Czech Republic.
