U.S. Embassy Prague’s Acting Public Affairs Counselor Erin Kotheimer spoke with this year’s cohort of Roma Fellows to discuss their fellowship experiences within organizations throughout the Czech Republic this year. The Fellowship program, led by Czech NGO Slovo 21, enables young Roma university students and recent graduates to gain professional experience during a 9-month long Fellowship at renowned companies, institutions and NGOs.
Currently, the Fellows and their places of Fellowship are: Věra at the Gallery Ara Art, Jan at the Human Resources Department of the Employment Office in Liberec, Denisa at the Albatros Media Publishing Company in Prague, Klaudia at the Hýblová Law Firm in Brno Veronika at the U.S. Embassy in Prague.
Thanks to another partner of the Fellowship Program, Bader Philanthropies, the Fellows have had the opportunity to pursue additional language and professional development trainings.
