Cultural and Other Exchanges

  • International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) – An important segment of the exchange activities run by the U.S. Department of State. The IVLP enables Czech professionals to develop in-depth knowledge of the United States and to establish contacts with their counterparts in the U.S. Launched in 1940, the IVLP is a professional exchange program that seeks to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through carefully designed short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging foreign leaders.
  • Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) –  Is a competitive merit-based scholarship program funded by the U.S. Department of State. FLEX students who pass multiple rounds of testing earn a scholarship to spend an academic year in the United States living with a volunteer host family and attending a U.S. high school.
  • – The Fulbright Commission is a Czech-American governmental organization founded with the mission to enhance educational, scientific and cultural exchanges through scholarship programs and advising and information services.
