Czech and U.S. Officials Launch Defense Acquisition Management Course

Deputy Minister Daniel Koštoval, Head of Armaments and Acquisition Division, Ministry of Defense, and LTC Mike Cushwa, Office of Defense Cooperation, U.S. Embassy in Prague were present at the beginning of Principles of Defense Acquisition Management Course. The two weeks course organized by International Defense Acquisition Resource Management (IDARM ) was launched today at American Center in Prague. The course provides participants with an understanding of the important concepts and key considerations associated with defense acquisition management. The target audience is military officers as well as civilians who are engaged in the area of defense acquisition decision making.

The course is financed by International Military Education and Training (IMET), a grant program managed by the Department of State and executed by the Department of Defense, specifically by the Office of Defense Cooperation in the U.S. Embassy. The course is conducted by Center for Civil Military Relations, School of International Graduate Studies U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. Since 2010 IDARM has already conducted several seminars and courses in the Czech Republic.
