National Guard soldiers from Nebraska and Texas spent time recently with the 4th Rapid Deployable Brigade in Zatec to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures for the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield or IPB. Soldiers from the Brigade and subordinate battalion S2, or intelligence offices, discussed the steps in the IPB process and conducted practical exercises which consisted of simulated intelligence reports.
The soldiers were required to prepare a time wheel, link diagram, develop a high value target list, as well as determine threat capabilities and vulnerabilities. All very important actions to help inform Commanders of the situation. The exchange was completed by showing an example S2 Mission Analysis Brief for the Command as well as a site visit to one of the Battalions in Zatec to help gain a greater understanding of their Czech Armed Forces partners.
Stronger Together since 1993
The Texas National Guard and the Nebraska National Guard work alongside the Czech Republic through the State Partnership Program (SPP) to conduct military operations in support of defense security goals.
