U.S. Embassy Prague Commercial Section, in cooperation with the Embassies in Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, and Vienna organized an online conference on Cybersecurity in Finance on Thursday, February 17, 2022. The conference attracted participation from five European Union (EU) countries: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
The conference speakers gave an overview of global trends as well as the state of cybersecurity in the EU from the European Cyber Agency ENISA. Five U.S. companies – Cisco; Forescout Technologies; IBM Security; Palo Alto Networks; and Tanium – presented on their experience with cyber attacks in finance sector. The Conference concluded with a panel discussion of government and association representatives reflecting on challenges cyber attacks bring in five respective countries.
