Chargé d’Affaires Kelly Adams-Smith met on March 28 with four journalists from Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine who are participating in a Regional Reporting Fellowship managed by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, with support from U.S. Embassy Prague.
The RFE/RL Regional Reporting Fellowship contributes to the professional development of aspiring journalists in Eastern Partnership countries in support of media freedom and independence in the region. The program is open to aspiring journalists from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
Participation in the Fellowship is guided by RFE/RL’s mission to practice independent, fact-based journalism in support of democracy and human rights. The program, now in its second year, is financed by a grant from the U.S. Embassy.
