Brookings Expert Pifer Discusses Ukraine and Russia in Prague

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer holds a public lecture and discussion at the CEVRO Institute, Center of Transatlantic Relations, in Prague.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution Steven Pifer discussed Ukraine and U.S. – Russia relations on a U.S. Embassy –sponsored Speaker Program from October 18-20 in Prague.

While in Prague, Pifer held various discussions with Czech think tanks, Russian/Ukraine experts, and journalists covering Russia/Ukraine in the Czech Republic.  Additionally,  he spoke with international relations students studying at Charles University and held a public lecture and discussion at the CEVRO Institute, Center of Transatlantic Relations, with over 100 participants.

Ambassador Pifer’s visit to Prague underscored the shared goal of supporting a democratic, stable, and prosperous Ukraine, while also reinforcing the U.S. commitment to a Europe whole, free, and at peace.
