October is a Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On October 17th, the U.S. Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy joined forces with leading experts from medical societies, insurance companies, the Ministry of Health, patient organizations, politicians, and others to organize a seminar on the state of breast cancer treatment in the Czech Republic and Europe.
“Breast cancer is an urgent global priority. Outside of skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States and in the Czech Republic. It is essential that we work together and invest in research and innovative treatments to set up a sustainable pathway to fight cancer, including through multidisciplinary collaboration in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes,” urged Ambassador Bijan Sabet at the seminar.
The event was co-organized in cooperation with Fleishman Hillard and supported by Eli Lilly and Gilead Sciences.
