On November 20, 2015, Ambassador Andrew Schapiro visited Procter & Gamble Rakona in Rakovnik. The Ambassador was briefed on Procter & Gamble’s operations in the Czech Republic and had an opportunity to tour the factory.
Procter & Gamble was one of the first U.S. companies to invest in the Czech Republic in 1991. With 550 staff, Procter & Gamble is one of the large employers in the Central Bohemia region. Ninety percent of production is exported, making Procter & Gamble 19th largest exporter in the country.
