Ambassador Schapiro Visits České Budějovice

Ambassador Schapiro tours the historic center of Ceske Budejovice with Deputy Mayor Jaromir Talir.

On May 11th, Ambassador Andrew Schapiro visited České Budějovice, the capital of South Bohemia. With Deputy Mayors Petr Podhola and Jaromír Talíř, he discussed economic and transportation issues, but also culture and sports in the city.

The Ambassador Schapiro also visited a traditional Czech producer of colored pencils – Koh-i-noor, where he said: “We all know these colored pencils but we don’t know how they are produced. And I’m glad to see that they are made of high-quality American wood.”

During his stay, he toured the historic center, a concert hall and held a lecture at the University of South Bohemia.
