Ambassador Andrew Schapiro hosted a reception for participants of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Study Abroad Capacity-Building Workshop organized by the Fulbright Commission on April 19.  The workshop, organized with support from the U.S. Department of State’s Study Abroad Branch, brought together 70 Czech and U.S. educators and staff focused on STEM with the goal of attracting greater Czech-U.S. exchange in STEM programs.

The two-day workshop was opened earlier that day by Czech Technical University Rector Petr Konvalinka, Head of Minister of Education’s cabinet Miroslav Jašurek and U.S. Embassy Prague’s Counselor for Public Affairs Ray Castillo.
