Ambassador Schapiro and His Wife Visit the Vysočina and South Moravia Regions

Ambassador Schapiro and his wife Tamar Newberger visited Lednice-Valtice UNESCO protected area on May 17, 2016.

Ambassador Andrew Schapiro spoke with teachers and students of the Higher School and Secondary School of Veterinary, Agriculture and Nursing Třebíč, met with Mayor of Třebíč Pavel Janata and his colleagues and toured UNESCO historical sights May 17-18.

The Ambassador also met with the South Moravian Community Foundation in Moravská Nová Ves with whom he had a discussion about civil society with local leaders, foundation supporters, volunteers and donors.

The program of the second day included a tour of Lednice Castle and gardens, which he visited following recommendations of our Facebook fans, followed by a meeting with Directors of International Documentary Film Festival and the Center of Documentary Film in Jihlava, and a lecture to students of College of Polytechnics.
