Ambassador Andrew Schapiro discussed current affairs at Tomas Bata University in Zlin. Most questions related to the crisis in Ukraine and one of the students summarized her impression from the debate: “He [Schapiro] aptly expressed the key to success in today’s world, which is to stay united.”
The students were also interested in the negotiations over the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the Ambassador explained that TTIP would set the global standard for trade and investment rules.
“It could also add billions of dollars to the GDP of both the U.S., and the EU and reduce costs to EU customers,” said Schapiro.
